STUDY PERMIT
A Study Permit is an official document issued by the Government of Canada that allows foreign nationals to study at designated educational institutions in Canada. It is a crucial requirement for individuals who wish to pursue academic or vocational studies in Canada for a period longer than six months. To obtain a Study Permit, applicants must demonstrate that they have been accepted by a designated learning institution in Canada, possess sufficient funds to cover tuition fees, living expenses, and return transportation, and have a clean criminal record. Additionally, applicants may be required to undergo a medical examination depending on the length of their intended stay and their country of origin. Study Permits are typically issued for the duration of the applicant's study program, plus an additional 90 days, allowing for travel within Canada or preparation for departure after completing studies. It's important for international students to maintain their status as students and adhere to the conditions outlined on their Study Permits throughout their time in Canada.
